Welcome to the Tularosa Public Library!

The beautiful library building is located in the historic 49 blocks of Tularosa, New Mexico in Otero County. Come see our Children's wing!

We have 2,731 patrons and counting!

There are 18 internet computers and 2 game computers for your convenience or bring in your own computer.

24 hour Wifi (Wireless connection)

A private meeting room is available upon request.

A Star Library!

The Tularosa Public Library was voted one of the five New Mexico libraries recognized by Library Journal as America's Star Libraries, 2012: The five are: Taos, Pueblo of Isleta, Embudo Valley, Eleanor Daggett Memorial and Tularosa Public Library!

Toddler Story Time

Toddler Story Time is available at the library for the general public upon request. Story Time for the Headstart classes are held at their site.
All toddlers are welcome!!

Monthly Book Sale

Next book sale to be announced.

Used books and other items are always for sale at the library. Most are 25 cents.

The Library greatly appreciates monetary and book donations. Please help support your library.

If you miss the book sale, you are welcome to browse through our Used Book Store during open hours. Please ask to see it.

Friends of the Library

Friends of the Library have changed their meeting date and time. Meetings will be the 4th Thursday of the month at 4:30 pm. Come by and check us out - no obligations.

New Computer for Vision Impaired!

This computer for the vision impaired has a large screen and the cursor can be used as a roaming magnifyer.

Made possible by the Nancy Floyd Haworth Foundation, the TPL was selected to bring you this special collection on Breast Cancer Awareness

2013 Summer Reading Program:

"Dig into Books"

All children are invited to join Tularosa Public Library's Summer Reading Program and attend the fun programs and events we are planning. This is for children ages toddlers to teens.
Fun activities: Stories, crafts, music, magic, art, movies, games and more!

Programs are Tuesdays through Fridays at 10:30 am beginning June 4th and running through July 12th. After each day's program, we will escort the children to Vigil Park for free lunches. Parents may pick their children up at the park after 12:00 noon.

These programs are free and open to all children of all abilities. Your donations can help make this summer program a success.
